Blind Road
"Embrace the road that leads to the end."Cougar's Airtreks
Sleeping Beast
It was Soarin's idea to name the treks that. The treks are heavy and are encased in removable metal plates, designed to absorb any impact that could damage Cougar's legs. The wheels of the treks are grooved/ridged and are broad for better grip on surfaces. It is armed with a powerful motor to compensate for the added weight and allow her to go as fast as she wants. The downside is, the motor overheats quickly and to counter that, the wheels are hollow and allows air to pass inside. That said, the wheels are made from non-conductive yet sturdy material. When the motor overheats, she slows down a lot. Without the plates she can pretty much just zip past anyone like a racecar, this also means that whatever control she somehow had when she rides is gone. The treks are designed to withstand heavy beating and her rough riding. They tend to leave marks everywhere, even on stone and metal, especially when used to their fullest. The base of the treks are equipped with a spring mechanism that gives Cougar added height when she jumps up vertically. Of course, horizontal jumping sucks for her.
Note: Sleeping Beast does not actually belong to Cougar. The treks, (originally named Beast King) belongs to her friend Regal who lent it to her, through Soarin' so she could continue riding without having to worry about the damage she could sustain to her legs as the treks were designed to lessen any sort of impact to the legs. The only customization made to these treks are the wheels as the wheels Cougar uses is her own.Personality
| Happy-Go-Lucky | Free-Spirited | Energetic | Flirt | Competitive | Wiiner's Complex | Reckless | Bi-polar |
Carefree and laid-back, Cougar's one of those people you'll meet who'll always have a smile on their face. Always eager to try out new things and experience life with others, she's always the first one to take one step ahead and into the grave. That said, she's incredibly reckless.
Cougar- for all the bright and cheerfulness that she has, is also the kind of person that cusses every single time she gets. Her favorite word being 'fuck' (Yes, she is based on Agito). And tends to get into fights real quick due to her quick temper. The slightest hint of an insult can already send fists flying.
When it comes to flirting, Cougar's one of the people you might wanna avoid if you don't like it, she'll actually hit on anyone, be it boy or girl. She has little to no discretion when hitting on guys, mostly doing it for fun when she can. Actually she'll only hit on a guy when it's in a bar or the guy hits on her first. As for girls, well, Cougar normally only hits on a girl when they start to interest her- and that pretty much only happens when said girl doesn't know she herself is one. (Hi, this has led to numerous misunderstandings in the future).
But as bright as her personality can be, it's as dark as it can get once Cougar steps into the other side- that is, when she rides. Her personality takes a full 360, but not that instantly. First she just get's overly competitive that she disregards the safety of her opponent, and sometimes even herself. When it hits full blown rider mode- a.k.a. Skully- Cougar pretty much blanks out and won't stop til someone either snaps her back to her senses or the battle is over.History
OriginBorn and raised in America, Cougar lived a happy, normal childhood. Her father was an American businessman while her mother was a Japanese immigrant who owned the local flower shop. Even in her early years, Cougar had been known for her love of sports, especially skateboarding and blading (and secretly, acrobatics), in fact she was pretty good at it, besting even the boys in her class, winning a good number of small tournaments in the neighborhood, coming only second (every once in a while) to her brother whom visited from Japan every few months.
The BeginningAt the age of 12, Cougar moved to Japan with her family after her father was reassigned to the country. At first they lived in a small apartment in the middle of the city, and later was able to buy off and live in an old ancestral house at the far edge of the city, which had once belonged to her mother's distant relatives. By this time, Cougar's brother, Hunter, had moved in with them. During this time, Hunter had introduced Cougar to the world of ATs and was the one to create her first ATs, Reaper. As expected, Cougar caught up quickly and was soon riding alongside her brother as a Storm Rider of his team, Blind Cougars (originally known as Storm Hawks).
The EndDuring a parts war, Cougar's brother had gotten involved in an accident, which cost him the use of his legs. Heavily affected by this incident, the team's morale dropped. But thanks to the positive aura that her brother shown (on the surface anyway as Cougar was well aware of), things looked up real quick and the whole team was back on track. Hunter remained leader and became the team's mechanic, and after giving Cougar his treks (Reverb) and regalia (Resonant Regalia:Soundstream Ripple) to replace her broke treks (which had been destroyed in the aforementioned parts war), much to everyone's surprise (or maybe not) became her tuner. Things had been well for awhile until news of Hunter being terminally ill broke out. It was during this time that Cougar had changed completely. This marked the start of the team's power streak, defeating more and more storm riders and increasing their territory and rank at a much faster rate. During this time, Cougar, the Bloody King of the Blind Road (Take note that Cougar was never a King- or Queen for that matter.) had become known to everyone. On the night of her brother's death, Cougar had left to face a challenge from a mysterious Storm Rider (rumor has it that this rider is the same person who broke her brother's legs) to a one on one parts war, which she lost, badly and had ended up half-dead, and had herself, nearly lost the use of her legs. It was a while before Cougar had heard that her brother had passed away. Cougar left for America afterwards to get treatment, leaving her team leaderless. In time, the struggling Blind Cougars faded into nothing more but a memory.
Second Chance?Almost a year later, Cougar finally resurfaces into the AT world. Due to the injuries she had sustained before as well as her absence, her rank dropped. Despite qualifying to be a C Rank, Cougar herself chose to start out from scratch, the details as to why is unknown (The details can be found here). No one knows why exactly she had returned, neither does she but she seems to be determined about one thing though- finding out who the rider she had face all that time ago.Emblem

Cougar never disbanded the team. She left the team, which is why it is leaderless. The sub-leader, Soarin', never took the spot as leader, but instead stayed on as sub-leader. The reason why the team had grown quiet over the past year was mostly due to the fact that Soarin' forbade the others to participate in wars as part of Blind Cougars. Instead, he shifted the focus of the group from being a storm rider team towards becoming an information network, gathering and compiling records of existing teams, riders, tuners and any significant people related to the storm rider world.
A couple of the members have grown to hate Cougar for leaving which is why she's pretty wary about going into the southern district which is the former territory of the group.
As stated above, Cougar's dad is a businessman, who travels every once in a while due to business trips. His frequent trips made him well-versed in culture and languages, made easy with his interest in such. A trait Cougar had inherited. He's also the one who taught her how to speak in different languages and was the one who fueled her love for cultures by bringing her different souvenirs and books from the places he visited.
Her mother on the other hand works closely with plants, most specifically flowers. Despite having a job, the main source of income in the family comes from her father. He rakes in enough money that the money her mother earns goes straight into the bank for emergency use. No such time ever arose, even during the hospitalization of her brother that said money is still untouched to this day. Other than working closely with plants, her mother also writes poems, another quirk passed onto Cougar. She is also quiet wise and has deep understanding on how people are. Another thing Cougar has inherited from her but never managed to make use of.
Hunter, Cougar's older brother had been born in America but was raised in Japan as per request of their grandfather. He does visit his sister in America every now and then however. He grew up as a pretty smart kid and a pacifist, on the outside at least. One would never have known he was a storm rider who led one of the smallest but successful group of storm riders back then, Storm Hawks, which was actually made up of him, his tuner and Soarin. Cougar later joined after his tuner had vanished. Poor guy died so young.
Cougar has a younger sister who is still in her mother's womb.
Up until the age of 12, Cougar studied in America. She continued her studies in Japan and at the age of 15, dropped out of school secretly behind her family's backs. Though Hunter was well aware of this, and eventually her parents who didn't say a thing. Such sweet family members. Trying to be understandable.
Cougar works part-time at- well, everywhere. She's normally around doing random jobs, most of these jobs involve cooking and tutoring. Currently she has four jobs :
--A cook/waiter (I'm serious it's waiter, not waitress) in a cafe called FireBird, Run by Brent.
--Patissier for Deadman's Bakery run by Alexis.
--A tutor in literature for a local University.
--Helper at Cerberus Bones, a music shop owned by Hades.
Aside from the above mentioned, she runs around doing random errands for old shops she had worked for in the past or for acquaintances and friends.
Cougar has a strong love for music. She used to play guitar and sing for the Cougars back at the cradle. Currently, she and Hades. are working on making a band of their own.
The earlier accident Cougar had did not only affect her physically, but emotionally and psychologically as well. This made it impossible for her to ride, until recently. To be honest, she was never supposed to return to riding, but she was quite stubborn and adamant about it. Cougar's legs are rather weak, and she's extremely paranoid about them. Ironically, most of her tricks and fighting style center around the use of her legs, this is why she uses the heavily armored Sleeping Beast in order to give her legs some added protection.
Also known as the Resonant Regalia, this regalia come in the form of two pairs of hollow wheels which are grooved and separated into sections in order to better manipulate vibrations not only in the air but in particles in general. The minute hollow channels embedded in the wheels can shift and change to manipulate wind streams to create a tail like effect that can be used as a means of attack or to push out air molecules away from the rider to lessen air friction. It can also shift and gather particles towards it by mimicking the pinwheel effect of the Over Road's regalia except that it doesn't just release the wind but gathers it there and use it as some sort of boost. God I have a lot of explaining to do.
The regalia was passed on to Cougar but she could never use it properly as her road would destroy it. That said she's barely used it to it's full potential. They were initially destroyed from her brother's fall but were fixed. They were next destroyed- well one of them, by Hades. Cougar hasn't used them since.
~Cougar practically lives outside of the city. It actually takes a while to get to the city proper from her place, 1-2 hours by car or by treks. Cougar rarely actually goes home. She tends to stay in someone else's house if she's not sleeping out in the streets at night.
~Her former team, Blind Cougars, was a well known team who rode mostly for the sheer fun of it and partly to call every inch of the city their own. There base is located in the southern district in what has come to be called as the Cat's Cradle. After Cougar's little stint, the team got even more well-known but this time, with one heck of a sour reputation.
~She loves animals. A lot. She can't keep one however because her mother's allergic. She does have a pet(Yeah Right) Brown Eagle named Quila. It belonged to her brother and is freely flying the skies over her home.
~
~Cougar's a genius when it comes to literature and languages. She can speak English, Japanese, German, French, and Spanish. Too bad Azu can't.
~Added fact : Lea's voice is Maaya Sakamoto's voice so don't be surprised why some people can't exactly tell Cougar is Lea. Her actual normal voice is Nano, but this is only during her time young days until she finally mellowed out.
